About- Absence of menstruation also called Amenorrhea is the condition when women missed one or more menstrual periods.
There are two types of amenorrhea-
Primary amenorrhea- Absence of the first period in a young woman by the age of 16
Secondary amenorrhea- occurs when the normal menstrual period stops for three months or longer
Symptoms-
The main symptom of Amenorrhea is the absence of menstrual periods. Other symptoms may include
Unexplained Weight gain or weight loss

Pregnancy
Breastfeeding
Use of birth control pills
Use of certain medications including Antipsychotics, Cancer chemotherapy, Antidepressants, Blood pressure drugs, Allergy medications
Low body weight
Poor nutrition or malnutrition
Excessive exercise
Mental stress
Thyroid malfunction
Pituitary tumor
Uterine scarring
Poorly formed reproductive organs including uterus, cervix or vagina
Structural abnormality of the vagina
High levels of testosterone
Müllerian defects
