Acne (Pimples) symptoms and causes


About-
 Acne, also known as acne vulgaris is a skin disease that occurs when hair follicles 
become plugged with dead skin cells and oil from the skin.
 
Symptoms-
  • Small red, raised bumps
  • Small red pimples with pus at their tips
  • Solid, often painful lumps beneath the surface of the skin.
  • Large painful lumps filled with pus beneath the skin
 
Causes-
Acne occurs when the pores on the skin become blocked with oil, dead skin, or bacteria
  • Excess oil production by the follicles 
  • Hair follicles clogged by oil and dead skin cells
  • Bacteria build up in the pores
  • Hormone levels change during puberty
  • Heredity
  • Certain medications, such as certain birth control pills or corticosteroids
  • A diet high in refined sugars or carbohydrates, such as bread and chips
