About-
 Actinic keratosis is 
also known as solar keratosis is a pre-cancerous patch of thick, scaly, or crusty skin caused by damage from years of sun exposure.
 
Symptoms-

Actinic keratosis is found primarily skin that exposed to the sun, such as the face, forearms, lips, ears, hands, scalp, neck, and lower leg.
The patches can be:
 Red, pink, brown or skin-colored 
 Rough, dry or scaly
 A hard, wart-like surface
 Itchy skin

Causes-
Frequent or intense exposure to UV rays

Complications
If left untreated, some of these spots may progress to squamous cell carcinoma
