Addison's disease symptoms and causes



About- Addison's disease, also known as primary adrenal insufficiency and hypocortisolism, occurs when adrenal glands do not produce enough steroid hormones.

 
Symptoms-

 Abdominal pain 
 Fatigue
 Weight loss
 Decreased appetite
 Skin Darkening (hyperpigmentation)
 Low blood pressure
 Salt craving
 Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
 Nauseadiarrhea, or vomiting
 Muscle weakness or joint pains
 Irritability
 Depression

Causes-

 Damaged cortex 
 Tuberculosis
 Infections of the adrenal glands
 Adrenal glands cancer
 Bleeding into the adrenal glands
